Last 2 times we won the Cup we won the conference at home and the Cup on the road. This time we win the conference on the road....

Oh no way you can take Tampa lightly. They are earning their stripes and might be ready. I don't think they are but I wouldn't bet too heavily against them.

flyers get another second round pick from the hawks from the kimmo timonen trade! \:D/

go hawks in the finals. would be great to see kimmo go out a winner.

Too bad he's not guaranteed to get his name on the Cup unless he plays in the Finals

That was awesome and now I'm upset I didn't go to the game.

Someone who knows things, please break down the TB v Chi matchup for dumb ol' snood.

Tampa Bay has one insanely good scorer (Stamkos) and a really hot scoring line. They don't really have much in the way of defensive forwards. On defense they don't have any Keith-level guys, but they are comfortable with all 6 of their guys.

They are fast and have playmakers, a type of team that the Hawks have sometimes had trouble with (and sometimes not).

in terms of entertainment value, it's literally the best series you could have. two extremely skilled teams with fast, high powered offenses. get your popcorn ready.

@AdamHoge: So as of right now, Amalie Arena in Tampa in double booked for next Saturday. Game 2 and a Garth Brooks concert are both scheduled.

Ryan Getzlaf: Great Choker, or Greatest Choker?

Also, eliminating Kesler never gets old.

On a less petty note, I believe the Hawks have finally captured David with their awesomeness.

I said I didn't see how they'd win game 5. They didn't win game 5. I'm amazing.

Not the first time I've tried to jump on the bandwagon in the playoffs (in like a "maybe if I get sucked in at its best, I can actually learn to like this" type of way). Last year I watched most of the Kings series. Then they lost game 7 and I forgot about hockey again.

It's not the Hawks awesomeness I have to learn to like. It's hockey. I find it hard to watch because of the frenetic pace coupled with the low scoring. I can handle low scoring low pace games and high scoring high pace (ala basketball). With hockey I have no idea when something good is going to happen (a goal) until it happens, which means you have to have your focus on the game at all times if you want to see the scoring. That's how it is for me, at least.

Ha! I understand where you're coming from; Ic an't get into basketball for similar reasons. The game can turn at any moment in hockey. It's [expletive] beautiful.
