before the game, i thought that unless darling was absolutely incredible and pitched a shutout or something, they'd go back to crawford. now i'm not so sure and could see Q sticking with darling. he was really solid all game and was great at not giving up rebounds in front of the net.

i'm not sure which i prefer. i still have confidence in Crawford but he needed to sit this one. i'm fine with either in net on Tuesday.

That's kind of where I'm at. I won't be upset with either being in goal. I am interested to see how Q handles it though. I almost expect him to go back to Crawford, but we shall see.

If the Hawks keep on winning and Darling holds the opposition to two or less goals, you have to stick with him

Didn't see the game today, but I agree in general with this. If he didn't do anything to lose his spot, stay with him.

I agree with staying with Darling, I'm just not sure Q will. I would be more surprised if Darling starts Game 4, but I wouldn't be disappointed.

Meanwhile, when did Rinne get so leaky? One more bad game and they will be looking at goalie issues, though I don't see them subbing him out for what could be an elimination game.

In my mind, Darling's the guy until he gives up 3 goals and a loss. Unless it's some weird 6-5 Hawks win or something where he gets pulled. Crawford will be back in there eventually this playoffs, but no need to rush it. Ride Darling as long as you can.

Rinne has been garbage. Guy used to own us but looks terrible right now. Win game 4 and the series is over.

Yeah, I think you have to stick with Darling for Game 4. Neither of the goals yesterday were bad goals given up and he made quite a few point blank stops.

Eventually, you're going to have to go back to Crawford but I'm hoping that'll be Game 1 of the next round.

Scott Darling will start in goal for #Blackhawks in Game 4 vs. Predators.

It wouldn't be game 1 because that would mean Darling was in net to win the series. At this point, goes has to go with him until they lose.

Holy hell, Hedger is speculating on Twitter that Carcillo (who will probably be medically cleared today) may sub in for Vermette tonight.

I am no fan of Vermette, but I'd rather have Cristobal Huet subbed into the lineup than Carcillo.

WTF? Why on earth would the Hawks do that? This is the second source now that I have heard of Carbomb playing.

Does he want to settle the score with that bitch Ribero?

I'd rather have Cristobal Huet subbed in at Center than have Carcillo subbed in.

Q just has an irrepressible boner for Carcillo.

I'm the first guy to endorse and enjoy goonery, but this team's success has largely been built on playing its own game. It's fine if we get outhit 3-to-1 every night. There are guys who can step up and be dicks if needed. And those guys are smart about it unlike Carcillo. Except for Shaw of course, he's still a bad-penalty dispenser.

I don't understand what's wrong with Vermette. I actually thought he looked okay on Sunday, mainly because he was actually playing his natural position.

If he's subbed out for Carcillo...yuck.

Carcillo was on the ice for morning skate, but the lines were:

Saad-Toews-Hossa

Versteeg-Richards-Kane

Bickell-Vermette-Sharp

Desjardins-Kruger-Shaw

Except that Kane has to carry Versteeg's water in their own zone...crazy at that sounds. I'd be tempted to flip Shaw and Versteeg, but I get why they won't.

Also, Desjardins has been fantastic.

Yeah, I was hoping that Sharp was on Kane's line instead of Versteeg but that's nitpicking. Those lines are fine.
