Was it the whites or the orange jerseys that were supposedly ditched after Urlacher got hurt while wearing them?

the only time this ever happened

I was at that game and it was the last time, but not the first.

In 2008, I believe white on white was our default road uniform

I'd give almost anything to see the bright orange jerseys back....with orange pants, or in other words, their Madden glitch pants.

So basically this only with a blue/white pant stripe as well:

Absolutely not. The orange jerseys are hideous. Orange pants are hideouser. Put them together is hideousest.

@AdamSchefter

Free agent CB Champ Bailey, who feels healthy, said he is willing to play nickel or safety if that's what it takes to land a job somewhere

Do it Emery.

Champ Bailey is the Ed Reed of this year. He's done.

On the plus side, the all whites remind me of the early days of Walter Payton. On the other hand, they also remind me of Noah Jackson and Bob Avelini.

Have they ever tried white with Orange pants?

I think how they handled Singletary's number was good and how they should handle Urlacher. Unofficially retire it for about 20 seasons and then just let some veteran use it again and move on.

Also lets unretire about half the numbers.

Yeah, there should be no retired numbers, but I will take half as a start.

I'm okay with Payton Butkus, maybe Sayers and Grange and a few others, but even then I'd be okay with zero as long as that was just the norm and you still found a way to honor the true greats of your franchise.

Also you should never get one for dying (sorry Piccolo but the annual award is more than enough)
