Baseball sucks today.

Meh. Get the ups and downs out of the way this year. Consistent greatness next year.

Would like to see Baez show a pulse at some point this month though instead of looking completely lost.

He hasn't been looking completely lost.

Javy has now struck out in 6 of his last 7 at bats and has a 40%+ K rate

Someone said it was 7 straight ABs (noting that he walked twice in that span)

Anyways, nothing you can do but keep sending him out there and helping him figure it out

I think he still isn't at the number of ABs it took him to get it going at a couple of his minor league stops. All is not lost, the talent is obviously there.

I mean, you guys know that when he was putting up horrible lines at the start of each stop in the minors, he wasn't just hitting line drives at outfielders. Right?

Yeah. Who suggested they thought otherwise?

At AAA he had a .142 BA and .484 OPS through 28 games and 118 PA before going 19-45 with 4 HR and 8 2B during an 11-game hitting streak.

B-R doesn't have game logs for 2013 but he played 54 games in AA last year, which was basically all of July and August. He obviously didn't struggle that long because his July OPS was .913.

According to Fangraphs, his slow start lasted five games, going 2 - 20 with 1 HR, 0 walks, and 5 strikeouts.

High-A looks like it was about 140 PAs split between two seasons of struggling before he got it going.
