Castro just tore his leg in half.

Great, there goes that trade for Hamels (who BTW has a NTC to the Cubs)

No he doesn't.

Not according to this article....

When the Cubs claimed him off waivers it was reported the Cubs were not on his no trade list and it was reported by Jayson Stark.

Edit: And that article doesn't list who is on his NT list it just states teams that might need starters.

The two sides will have 48.5 hours from the moment of the claim in order to work out a trade. Any 40-man roster players to change hands in a theoretical deal would also need to clear waivers. If and when the two sides decide that a deal cannot be reached, the Phillies can simply pull Hamels back off waivers. Hamels’ contract does allow him to block trades to 20 teams, but as ESPN’s Jayson Stark reported earlier today, the Cubs are not one of those 20 clubs. So, in the unlikely event that a deal is agreed upon, Hamels would have no say in vetoing the transaction.

I would much rather Soler take that pitch and risk the call than swing at it.

Especially since it was about 3 inches below the knee when it crossed the plate. This ump is bad.

What channel are the Cubs on direct tv? Bdubs claims they dont have the game tonight?

They should be on a CSN alternate feed. 665-1 or something.

On a random observation note, for a team that hasn't had a farm system in 5 years, the Brewers have produced some pretty good players out of nowhere in Peralta, Gennett, Davis, Fiers, and Lucroy, who seems to have become what we'd hoped Geovany Soto would.
