If I were going to, don't you think I would have by now? Where others have either run off or created ghost accounts for less, I've stood tall. Or at least average height. Only B2B has withstood more ridicule than I and stood his ground.

You're not giving yourself enough credit; you've never changed your approach whereas B2B stopped with the insane trade proposals and now just takes shots at the FO.

Yes, his commitment to never breaking character is admirable.

Sure, let's call it that.

I thought the "crazy trade proposal" guy was SweetSwingingBilly or something like that? Unless it was both. Probably both.

And I do have to give LLF credit because - whether it's deserved or not - he takes a lot of [expletive] and it never phases him.

He was just sorta a goofy old guy who (IIRC) would call Jim Hendry with suggestions.

B2B was always coming up with insane 3 way trades in the Hendry days.

Yeah, you're right. Was it the Harden trade that he "called"? As in he posted he called Hendry and told him they needed to trade for him. People called him out on being crazybuckets for calling the GM of a MLB team with suggestions and then the trade was complete in like a few days?

frankly the 4-team trade proposals were way more fun.

I feel real bad now.

If I thought I was going to die soon I would have called Hendry every [expletive] day and bitched at him for hiring Dusy.

leave it to a priest to think you can just call the boss up out of the blue and make things happen

Who knows maybe Hendry's idea to get more left handed was from one of the Cubs genius facebook fanclub members..

Did he really die?

His signature had his real name and that he was a Catholic priest. A google search of his name brings up his obit from various papers:

That's sad.

And it does kind of make me think calling Hendry was a baller move. Like cubinny said, SSB was like "[expletive] it. Things need to happen, and they need to happen now. Time to get on the phone."

Somebody should submit Billy's phone call to the Vatican. If they determine it was his miracle that brought Rich Harden to the Cubs he'll get a sainthood and a bunch of virgins or something.

The guy sorcerer-ed Hendry into getting Harden and then seemingly took Harden's career as a Cub out with him when he passed. Kinda spooky.
