But seriously...the Miley thing is a joke, right?

What the hell are we going to talk about the rest of the season?

I say you have a new pop culture opinion every game thread and we get to pounce on it.

Billy Hamilton: Rising on the hate list

I definitely hate him. I thought Reds fans sounded like a bunch of meatball idiots talking about how he'd be a 5-win player without having to hit because baserunning and defense, and so far he is.

This is interesting, didnt someone say earlier his fastball seems faster than it is?

Though Wada had ruptured his left triceps muscle the previous fall and struggled to even reach 130 km/h (81 mph) with his fastball during the tournament, Teikyo High players remarked after facing Wada that "[his fastball] looked like it was 150 km/h (93 mph)."

Wada is a 5 ft 11 in, 180 lb, left-handed pitcher with an unorthodox delivery, throwing from an overhand arm slot but deceiving hitters by keeping his throwing arm back and delaying its swing as he drives to the plate with his lower body.

Wada's four-seam fastball has good late life but decidedly below-average velocity, topping out at 92 mph and usually sitting at 85 to 89 mph. He compensates for this with his deceptive arm swing and late release point, complementing it with a solid-average slider and a changeup.

If there was a stat on most times hit by a pitch on a swing and miss Rizzo would be leading the league. The best part is he doesn't even flinch when the ball hits him.

I'm late, but gameday said Olt hit a line drive for an out. The HR I can believe, but a line drive? no way.

Whoever said he was throwing everything the same speed is nuts. FB is low 90s, slider is around 83-84 and the curve has been in the mid to upper 70s.

all the fastballs were 91-92 according to gameday that inning. Threw a few changeups at 84 and a curveball at 75.

It happened. Kind of off the end of the bat but still a well hit ball, especially for him.

It was. It almost split the gap if it weren't for that damned Hamilton.

Seems like his fastball has gotten more life as the games progressed.

Jed is already on the phone trying to flip him to Toronto.
