is rizzo hurt? gameday says he's out of the game yet he hit a home run in the 1st...

My Gameday doesn't have anything about Rizzo not being in the game.

It's increasingly obvious that the Cubs Way pamphlets do not at any point mention calling for a pop up.

this is what yahoo's gameday is showing me:

Not the only people confused about Rizzo today:

Where are the Cubs falling short offensively? I haven't been paying close enough attention, but it seems like Rizzo has been a monster, Castro has been pretty good, Valbuena (as a semi-regular) is having a career year, and Lake has had his moments. Is it just everyone else being black holes?

yes, except add Lake to the black hole part.

I actually just posted about this in the 'musings' thread. They have 2 top 35 position players and 3 top-90, but Bonifacio is the only one 90-180 and Castillo and Ruggiano are the only ones 180-270.

Wood has pitched a pretty good game so far. ARam warming up in the pen. Hope they plan on stretching him out eventually and letting him start games.

To my untrained eye, looks like Castro's stance is just a little more closed. The results improving.

Art Garfunkle can still bring it.

I assume you're referring to Neil but yes, I definitely want to see him stretched out in August once the Cubs have traded Hammel and maybe Samardzija.

Yeah, we've posted before about having Ramirez stretched out and starting next year, but I like this idea, too.
