Interesting. What does the Kings FA situation look like? Unless they get gutted, there's not much the NHL can do to be one of the top 2 teams. Kings and Hawks are going to be hard to beat for the foreseeable future.

Good. Obviously he's a good penalty killer but he shouldn't be more than a 4th line center at this stage of his career.

I'll believe it when I see it, but it does seem like they are making more noise this offseason than usual about getting a real No. 2 C.

I'll go on record to say. ....I love Handzus. He's a very smart player and does all the little things. Definition of a wily veteran. It was nice to have him around the last 2 years. That being said, he can and should be upgraded. Wish him luck.

Handzus is just so slow that he drags down the performance of everyone who plays with him. He does things well when he's in position.

Brian Campbell apparently wants out of Florida...still has two years left on contract paying north of $7 million #Panthers

 

He's gotta be pushing late 30s now right? Is he even any good any more? Haven't heard his name since he left Chicago.

He just turned 35, and played a full 82 game season with 37 points and nearly 27m/g. Part of the reason you never hear about him is nobody hears about Florida. Obviously he's not a good candidate for the Blackhawks unless they get some crazy good deal.

He is still a quality dman. 7 million is going to keep almost everyone away unless the Panthers would be willing to take a real bad contract back
