I know MLB blackout rules are [expletive], but I don't understand why I'm blacked out from this game on MLB.tv when it's in Chicago. I get it when they black me out from Marlins games when they play in Miami, but they're in Chicago. I [expletive] hate MLB blackout rules.

The blackout isn't to protect ticket sales. It's to protect the local cable companies. They don't want you to be able to watch the game on your computer because they you aren't buying cable with CSN.

The asinine thing is that some of us don't even have the option to buy a cable TV package with CSN. When I lived in Marshall, IL, the only cable company in town was Mediacom, and they did not offer CSN. However, I was still blocked out from Cubs games because I was in their "home territory." The blackout rules are completely pointless and need to go away.

We need these rules to stay in place until the Cubs sign a new TV contract. Once that's locked in, I'm fine with the rules changing.

Did I just see the wave?

It's become pretty common at Wrigley.

The other day some dopes in the RF bleachers tried to start it and the third section of the bleachers (moving towards center) shut it down each time. It was great.

And I don't understand why it's a big deal.

if anyone happens to be listening to the radio, this guy they're interviewing (andy pafko's nephew) is just about the worst interview ever. Real dry, no excitement, sounds like its pulling teeth for him to say 5 words. Let me know if he's just as bad on TV.

I'm moving to Bloomington, IN in a couple of months, and I think its going to be one of those areas of MLB blackout hell. Its at least a Cubs, Sox and Reds blackout, but there's a portion of the west part of the state which also blacks out the Cardinals, I just can't tell if it spans all the way over to Bloomington based on the map. Uverse may be able to pick up CSN Chicago, so we'll see.

nasty nate's making a comeback.

Hope he keeps it up so he'll be gone by 7/31

Why? The Cubs are going to 2002 A's this season.

Uverse probably has CSN everywhere, and if you're in the blackout area you should be able to watch games on it.

If the "take me out to the ball game" rendition is any indication I need mute NOW.

yeah, that Stretch was pretty awful.

It's funny that Len and Bob haven't even acknowledged him yet
