ok maybe you didn't notice that baez has a new swing, rendering those stats mute, so duh

my immediate reaction was that his new stance looked like Omar Infante's, who's one of the hardest players to K

i wonder if Brett Jackson is experimenting with a Alberto Callaspo stance

would be sweet if we could just program our baseball robots to have victor martinez's stance like mlb the show

Brett is emulating Ron Herbel.....6-206 with 125K in the majors.

I think Minor League Central has some calculation issues(wouldn't be the first time). Contact rate is (AB - K)/AB, right? That'd make Baez at 61% this year and 68% at AA, although weirdly Alcantara's rates stay the same(you can raise both by 1% depending on your rounding preferences).

He was talking alphabetically

please educate me some about your definitive understanding of their futures you're all too well-informed of to even bother with differing opinions

maybe it can go in the bin with the Carlos Gomez, Rick Porcello declarations for further revisiting at a later date

we get it, you're a dismissive attention-seeking idiot, thoroughly averse to any type of meaningful discussion...why you persist in hammering this point home further and further with every single [expletive] post is a complete and total mystery to me

Everything OK? You're a little lash-out-y today.

Contact rate is

Balls in play + HRs + fouls / Swings

Pierce to DL with a strained right calf.

Between Edwards, Johnson and Soler, the Solar Sox are going to be loaded again this fall.

It's disappointing pitcher day! (besides Blackburn).

Hater.

@SmokiesonRadio: Corey Black is out after pitching 5 stellar innings. Black allowed 1 run on 3 hits and struck out 7. In the 96 pitches he threw 56 were k's

Happy to see it. I would love to see him get those walks down thoguh.

I'd be very surprised if they were able to scrape that info from Gameday accurately and consistently.

@KevinDruley: #Cougars mgr Mark Johnson said injury to RHP Jen-Ho Tseng is a sore right shoulder and "nothing serious." .... (1/2)

@KevinDruley: (2/2) "Just kind of being really careful and just taking our time with it," Johnson said. #Cubs

Blackburn!

@BleacherNation: @RaisinMan101 Sitting 91. I'm told it's a slow gun, but that actually sounds right for him. Loving his delivery.

Baez with a 375 foot 2B with two strikes in his first AB

@UrbyJT: Javy gave a look to the ump after strike two. The color guy then grills him for hitting .170 and complaining. Tells him to swing the bat

@UrbyJT: he swung the bat

7 game hitting streak now, hitting .375/.400/.792 with 5/1 K/BB in that span (25 PA)

yes everyone knows the way to stop hitting .170 is to start swinging at more pitches that aren't strikes.

Pitching for Daytona is dangerous:

@daytonacubs: What a shame - @taylerscottsa leaves B7 w/ 1 out after taking a comebacker off hand. Fortunately didn't look too bad. @areed5109 in 1-0 Cubs
