In other news, Alcantara didn't strike out today. First time in 8 games without a K. In those 8 games, he had 13 Ks in 34 PAs including a nasty 10 Ks in 17 AB spell. Only 3 in his last 3 games though. Alcantara's strikeout column is the first place I go each day. After the Bryant endorphin fix, of course.

I'm kinda bullish on Alcantara because of how consistent he's been so far. He had a pretty good week around his 5 hit game, but he's avoided valleys for the most part. He's only gone consecutive games without a hit once, I get the feeling that something will click in the next month or so and he'll go on a tear for several weeks.

He hasn't been inspiring, but at his age in AAA, I can live with it. Not everyone has to go Bryant on their new league in their first month. He'll get there.

Im sure there are disparities between guns at various MiLB stadiums, but Hendricks was topping out at 88/89 in Colorado Springs 2 weeks ago.
