Baez walks in the first for Iowa.

His early seasons are always like a Hulk Hogan match, and this is the part where the bad guy has him beat down but he starts shaking his hand to get pumped up.

I prefer this analogy:

Well, you can't really ask for more from Wada. Guy is toying with AAA. So far today 5 IP 2 H 1 BB 8 K. ERA down to 0.57

Baez gets intentionally walked in his 3rd PA. If gameday is right, the first 3 balls were regular pitches and the 4th was intentional.

Wada: 31.1 IP, 16 H, 2 ER, 37/4 K/BB, 2 HR

These are very good numbers for a reliever, as a starter you kinda have to find room for him pretty soon.

It means if Wada does this much longer, he needs to be doing it in Chicago.

stage an accident for james russell and get him up here.

If he's brought up, I want him starting.

there's no one to replace. i guess maybe if arrieta bombs.

That's what I'm thinking. Wada should stay at AAA starting until that happens though.

At the risk of pissing off the man, I really think the Cubs could have a solid pitching core in Shark, Wood, and Hammel if they don't try to get rid of them. It seems kind of self-defeating to me. Trade one of the big four prospects ++ for a front line starter and they are off to the races.

Anyway, back on track. I hope Bryant is ok. I don't like that 0-5 last night.

Also, why is Loosen still starting? There has to be somebody better to run out there.

@TommyBirch: Asked Wada if he thought he'd made a good case to be called up. Smiled through the translation and chucked as the question was asked. #Cubs

Sell high on Hammel before he breaks or cubs.

@TommyBirch: Baez, who went 0-1 with 2 walks in game 1, starts game 2 by ripping a 1st inning single to left. #Cubs #PCL #MiLB
