I like how they made the mascot not a Native American.

Just so everyone is clear: we've been ported to CNBC and the 8:00pm start, because.........people don't expect this series to be very interesting anymore.

They should. Hawks could easily win tonight and then sweep a 'dead man walking' Wild in Game 4, but I think its also very possible the Wild win the next 2 and come back to Chicago tied. The Hawks have been dominated for large stretches in the first 2 games against Minnesota, they will need to step up their game to keep winning. In addition, the Hawks are the only team with a sub .500 road record amongst the top 10 teams by record in the NHL this year. They are 19-14-8 (so 19-22) and 1-0-2 in the playoffs. Meanwhile the Wild are very good at home (26-10-5 in the regular season and 3-0-0 in the playoffs). I am confident that we will take at least 1 in Minnesota, but there are a lot of people in Chicago that seem to be expecting the Wild to roll over and I don't think that's the case at all.

Blackhawks fans do, but if you read the article, it's about how he's one of the best players of this generation and no one talks about him.

Put me down as someone who thinks he is a great player. He gets screwed when it comes to selke conversation, probably because he doesn't take many face-offs. Been a consistent scorer on some very good teams the last 5 yrs.

I think some of the things that may make him underrated are: 1. Began career on Ottawa, good team playoff flopper. 2. Prime years were played in Atlanta. 3. late prime years he has been very good but on teams that had Crosby, Malkin, Datsyuk, Zetterberg, Toews, and Kane. Not that he is not at their level or close, he just has never had the star appeal that those 6 have.

He also has a reputation as being a good player whose teams won cups after he left. And there are a handful of fanbases that stupidly boo him aggressively based on old grudges.

Isn't Boston/Montreal on before? Are they switching to NBCSN after that game?

The only place that happened was Pittsburgh and I would suggest that Pittsburgh would not have won the Cup the next year if Hossa wasn't playing hurt for the Wings. If he was closer to 100% Wings would have won that series easily. Fans booing former players for leaving for more money is stupid, but yeah.

edit: I think missing 10-20 games a yr that last few probably have hurt him some also

Not according to the guide. It stays on CNBC and NBCSN will air an NHL postgame thing and then some BPL show later.

It's OK to only take 1 in Minny. Heck, the Wild are good enough (I think) to not get swept. I'd expect them to take one game on their home ice.

19-22 includes shootout losses, but I agree they haven't been the best on the road. I think the Hawks lose tonight then win on Friday and close them out Sunday.

Q said NIklas Hjalmarsson is fine, but he's unable to speak after taking a puck to the throat in Game 2. #Blackhawks

Q doesn't think being unable to talk on the ice will hinder Hjalmarsson much. #Blackhawks

Is this the "Duncan Keith loses teeth and keeps playing" of this postseason?

Jesus that's crazy. Guess they've determined he can't do further damage. Not that he would care dude is an animal.

If Hjalmarsson would get a few more points he would be my Hawks MVP so far. His play in the defensive zone has been great, especially on the PK. I think the Blues forecheck was somewhat contained by his play

Yeah he's a classic stay-at-home defenseman. Many have great careers doing it but will never win awards because they don't score.
