Gutless choking dogs it is. Glad that's decided.

I hate that the Pirates aren't really that good yet keep winning close games like this. Sickening, really.

Must be nice to have a bullpen. We're stuck with worthless idiots like James Russell.

Painful team to watch.

That game was pretty fun to watch other than the whole losing part.

wonder who the cubs manager will be in two years

Theo an Jed are gonna say [expletive] this and walk after 2015 too

Theo loves this. He lives for this. He wants to rebuild forever and fap over draft picks and never have to try to win an MLB game again. He probably didn't even watch this game. He'll check the highlights on cubs.com later after he's done going over Kane County game tape.

Yeah...no.

Not that one game means anything, but if this is the start of a hot streak (or basically consistent production) from both Castro and Rizzo then that means more than any single loss. Not that it doesn't suck, it does, I suppose I just never even gave myself the 5% chance they'd be competitive for any point this year. If they started out lucky and/or hot and then inevitably fell off a cliff I'm not sure I would be less upset. And hell they are two days away from conceivably playing for .500...but I figure that won't happen.

I wouldn't push the reset button on this game if given the chance. I hadn't taken a real good look at the April schedule before today, but holy hell, we never stood a chance to get off to a good start. I'll take the day Rizzo and especially Castro had.

It's early but it sure is nicer to see both Rizzo and Castro with OPS's over .800 instead of 2 for 20 or whatever

Yeah, because of the schedule...

well being mediocre and then also playing a rough schedule on top of it. On paper there isn't series you would say we should win in the month of April. You might be able to call a split with Arizona because we are at home, and their pitching is struggling big time. We might be lucky to get 10 wins.

Oh you're only saying that because Theos contract runs through 2016

Pittsburg and Philthy are hardly juggernauts.

I can't wait until July when we play the Astros for 25 straight games
