I feel like this is cut and pasted from one of illiniguy's rants in years past just with the team names changed (subbing in MSU for Kansas).

 

With Dayton beating Syracuse I'd say the illiniguy version can be put back in play. :P

I thought about predicting this last night after the 10, 11 and 12 seeds all won in that bracket but decided not to. Pretty disappointed I didn't.

This has been, overall, about the worst shooting performance in a tournament from all the teams that I can remember. You had SLU and Syracuse both go 0 for on threes yesterday and there have been a few other games where teams just couldn't knock down wide open shots.

Michigan just broke their team record with 14 3s in a NCAA tourney game but I guess there are exceptions to every rule.

i realize i'm probably jinxing iowa st into losing on a barrage of 3 pointers, but UNC only has TWO guys make more than 8 3s on the season. TWO! a guy that transferred from iowa st at semester and played 38 minutes all season would be fourth on their team in 3s.

Just a different team -- and not a very good one -- without Embiid. I feel bad for Wiggins. He seems to be a really awesome kid, and I wish he could have at least played well in the loss. He'll catch a ton of [expletive] from overreacting fans for playing badly today. And he was bad.

The SEC was wretched this year, but Tennessee, Kentucky and of course Florida are 3 teams that I would not want to play right now. I thought Arkansas might be one of those teams peaking at the right time too but then we [expletive] the bed against Auburn and SC.
