Most of the analysis websites are talking about Lovie having no patience with rookies, or younger players. While I can see where that stigma might come from on defense, offensively, wasn't he more susceptible to trusting his coaches and their opinions on the younger players?

Tim Jennings is next to Kyle Long with the Braves hat on. Not sure who the people are near Cutler, the guy next to him, the girl behind him and the guy behind her...who knows? The guy with the bad dreads behind Jennings, I don't know either.

Charles Tillman left Tampa Bay without signing a contract, which has to at least encourage the Bears. Surely other teams will take a look.

 

It's interesting news. You'd think that the Bucs gave him a more than fair contract offer. It's possible he wants to hear the Bears pitch/offer (as well as other teams) before making a decision. I honestly didn't think TB would let him leave without signing.

I knew he was Chris Long's brother, I just never put 2 and 2 together about Howie Long. He never seemed old enough to have sons in the NFL.

I guess I was more focused on his ability and the backlash from his DWI than his lineage.

He was also out of the league for 20 years by the time Kyle was drafted.

Yeah, his playing career was during the Super Bowl shuffle-era Bears. Long, long ago.
