Better get a good backup. 13 games in the last 2 years. Not a difference maker when he is in there. Whatever he costs, I'd rather have spent 500K-1Mil more on someone similar who might actually play 16 games this year.

Speaking of which, I was sure we'd see Eben Britton back by now.

One thing I love about Houston -- his age. He'll play 3 more seasons before his 30th b-day.

 

By comparison, the Bears signed Pep when he was 30. Hopefully we're catching a player with more upside to explore, in addition to just filling a need.

Yeah, I can see that, but Mills is acceptable for now and at least has upside.

Mitchell has a deal in place, but not with Bears. Sounds like Bears have made lots of calls and some small offers, according to Biggs.

I definitely see either a high pick or another FA added there. I wonder though, if Peppers needs to be cut, with what's gone down so far. Granted, it seems inevitable, with the trade talk and all, but unless something else fairly large is happening, my guess is he could be kept.
