Duke and MSU could really muck stuff up.

If they both win, Bama goes back to the title game vs Auburn and wins by 2 TDs. So I'd really prefer that to not happen.

Well, as losses go, at least it wasn't as damaging as being a Bama/Georgia fan those last two weeks, and Mizzou held their own too. Really sad that Auburn is still the team I like the most in the title hunt considering a couple hours ago they threw our running back into a cart from 8 yards out of bounds.

Missouri has a very good team, and I was pulling my hair out until well into the 4th quarter of this one. Let's go Spartans!

Been in a kitchen all day and just saw the scores. Holy crap! If Auburn plays FSU the over is going to be set at 90 pts.

Go Sparty.

Seriously, stop rooting for outcomes that mean the SEC is back in the title game. Shame on you all

I'm ok with Auburn getting in, mostly because I think FSU would beat them.

Man, some of you guys...you wonder why in the world those of us in the SEC cheer on our conference, then you pick any opportunity to cheer against the SEC, just because they're the SEC. I can't stand Ohio St, Texas, USC or Oregon but I actually like for Michigan, TCU and Stanford to do well.

You're on a Yankee message board, dude. You haven't realized that yet?

They cheer against the SEC because of the mouth-breathing lunatics who cheer for the SEC, not 'just because they're the SEC'. All you need to do is look at Jay Jacobs' ridiculous behavior the last week to know exactly what kind of nonsense the rest of the country is cheering against.

I know. You're right. I'll just smile tomorrow as I wearing shorts and sitting outside having a drink before the game.

Mouth breathing lunatics are everywhere. I mean, I've been to Indiana before.

Jay Jacobs is a moron, but no more than Gordon Gee.

Nevermind. I don't care. Go Sparty.

I would really like a reason to root against Auburn, but they don't crack Florida State or Ohio State on the hate list. If someone like Baylor or Michigan State had a shot I'd be all about that, even at the expense of Auburn/the SEC.

SEC bias: 1-loss Auburn considered for title game if OSU loses, but 1-loss MSU would not even be on the radar if they beat OSU.

That's not really SEC bias. Auburn would have the best (Bama), 3rd-best (Missouri), 4th-best (A&M) and 5th-best (Georgia) wins out of the two of them. MSU's best win before today was Iowa.

Michigan State is just picking on the right side of the field. Admittedly the got the corner blitzing on that play but safety #4 for OSU is getting burned and taking bad angles like he's Chris Conte.

Are Georgia and A&M really as good as their ranking at the time Auburn beat them? The Mizzou win is probably the tie-breaker, as outside of that, both teams would have a win against an undefeated team, plus two wins against (eventual) 8-4 conference teams

Neither of them are as good as their ranking at the time, but both are better than Iowa or Nebraska or Minnesota (at least, pre-Murray-injury Georgia was).

better statistically, better "eye test", or better because the assumption is that an 8-4 SEC team is always better than an 8-4 B1G team?

For me, it's eye test, but Sagarin also has A&M and Georgia (and LSU) ahead of Iowa, who is 25th. Nebraska and Minnesota are 49th and 51st, with Michigan 39th.

And just like that, Ohio State is right back in this game.
