I love how much running backs just don't matter in the NFL.

I could see this team being one of those that gets healthy very late and then makes a big run in the playoffs.

Yeah, but did you see that after last week? Will you see that after the next loss? The Bears have alternated wins and losses since Week 6 and it seems like they can make a run after every win and the season is over after every L.

Let's hope so. The Eagles look pretty good against Arizona today....they play at home against Detroit next week so hopefully they can beat the Lions and we take care of the Cowboys at home.

Of course first things first, finish this one off

That's what I've been hoping for.

If Briggs comes back fully healthy and Ratliffe can actually make a solid contribution...maybe? I don't think its very likely though, the defense is so, so bad.

The defense is around average. This is today's NFL.

And that's with a ton of huge injuries.

I'm pretty sure worse defensive teams have gone to and won SB's in recent years.

How good was the Packers defense a few years ago?

You need to make the playoffs and then win 3-4 games, you don't need to be a perfect team to do that.

Neither McCown nor Cutler are as good as Aaron Rodgers. The offense is very good, but I don't think they're dynamic, well-oiled and efficient enough to run off a few games in the playoffs.

I was really proud of these announcers earlier when they referenced McCown's unholy awfulness on third and long as an example of the reason why he can't keep his job.

And then he throws a bomb to Jeffery on 3rd and 14 and the announcers cannot stop slobbering

Hey guys Cutler/McCown is a fair question.

No, no it's not.

Yeah. And the red-zone ineptitude.

Suddenly all of that is forgotten, I guess.

Bears are just not allowed to have a comfortable win.

Even the game we won by more than one score was a 1 score game in the 4th quarter.
