If I'm GB I'm conservative here. With Rodgers coming back they are in the drivers seat with a tie.

makes sense. I'm certainly not taking a knee here but a tie is definitely an advantageous result here.

How many times since the new overtime rules took place has a team scored on their opening drive and not won the game?

Can anyone remember it happening?

All I know is that I was in a bar in Waukegan this weekend and I saw two guys in Hawks jerseys debating whether blacks or "chicanos" (seriously who says this) were worse

The only bar I can think of in Waukegan is a notoriously terrible [expletive].

Everything in Waukegan is a notoriously terrible [expletive] heap

At this point with 1st and 25 with 24 seconds left, the Packers should just take a knee and take the tie. Taking the chance of throwing a Pick 6 isnt work it here Edited by UMFan83

This. Was born there and grew up nearby. Don't make it back very often.

Lions 6-5

Bears 6-5

Packers 5-5-1

I'm gonna guess they finish

Packers 9-6-1 (4-1 rest of way)

Bears 9-7 (3-2)

Lions 8-8 (2-3)

Just for maximum pain

It's pretty crazy that the Rams had a 65 yard run, but that only increased their per carry average by 2 yards. They allowed 7.8 yards every time a RB ran the ball.

In comes Adrian Peterson and soon LeSean McCoy. Cowboys are probably too stupid to give the ball to Murray 20 times.

Why do you even bother, bukie? Goony has gone full-on meatball.

Yep, smart fans never expect a win until two years from whatever day it currently is.

When you finish building your army of straw men, mind trying to have some conversations with adults?

The short of it is you cannot separate the decision to go for it on 4th down and the play-call that went with it. It doesn't matter if going for it is "right" if you are running Michael Bush up the gut again. The horrible decision to run that play negates any positive takeaway from actually going for it. Then you have the entire pre-half segment and a host of other bad decisions and it is painfully obvious that Trestman is handicapped by his glaring head coach decision making disabilities.

How about this? I'll take that play call over the even more terrible play call that kicking the FG would've been.

And you can absolutely separate them if you want to.

That doesn't make any sense. You would take a 5% chance of rushing for a TD on that play over a 99% chance of putting up 3 pts on the board? I don't see what is so hard to understand about what Goony is trying to say. I wasn't against the call to go for it at the time, but the play call was horrible. Anybody watching the game could clearly see that the Bears were getting destroyed at the line of scrimmage. Especially on plays up the middle.

I guess if you want to be dishonest about the situation, sure. Not sure why you would want to though.
