t-rich had, i dunno, 48 hours to learn an entirely new offense? they basically said he wasnt going to be a huge factor

saw this on Y!

"We're now 311 carries into his NFL career, and the guy only has two runs of over 20 yards."

PFF also had a stat that he ran into loaded fronts just 17% of the time with Cleveland

So this happened yesterday....

Arizona Cardinals safety Rashad Johnson said Monday that he lost the top of his left middle finger just above the knuckle during Sunday's loss to the New Orleans Saints.

Johnson realized the significance of the injury when he pulled his hand out of his glove and the fingertip was still in it.

Apparently, it could've been reattached but he said he'd rather keep playing.

I don't know if it's a case of Kaepernick just sucking against non-blitzes, because he was 19-27 for 315 yards when Green Bay didn't blitz. It's more likely that Seattle and Indianapolis a) took advantage of San Francisco's terrible receiving corps b) took advantage of San Francisco inexplicably staying away from Frank Gore (four carries in the second half yesterday) and c) throwing different zones that San Francisco couldn't figure out.

Again, all that changes on Thursday, when St. Louis gives Kaepernick plenty of 10-yard cushions, bland zones and predictable blitz packages that sees Frank Gore run for 215 yards. I think Jeff Fisher is trying to get fired so he can take the job at USC.

So yeah, does Kaepernick actually just suck? I know there's not much on that team, but man, 11-24 against Indy.

i kind of skimmed through it, but PFF was talking about how he SHREDS the blitz and Seattle knew this and rushed 4 most of their game; i didn't really watch enough of today's game to see if Indy did that too

also, they have pretty putrid receivers after Crabtree, Manningham, V Davis (all out today)

edit: looking at the box score, Bradshaw with 5 YPC and TRich with just 2.7 YPC (long of 7! on 13 carries)...does TRich actually just suck?

I think so, yes. You have undrafted guys like joique bell having more success in a spot start than Richardson has ever had.

5 of 18 career games over 4 ypc.

I'm glad we ran that [expletive] play rather than let Janikowski try a 67-yard field goal.

The 6 playoff teams from the NFC last year are a combined 6-12. And if you take out the Seahawks, the other 5 are 3-12 and all under .500.

Tuesday, Brett Favre's agent said:

"Today, he could play today [...] I saw him the other day. He's in the best shape I've ever seen him, physically."

"His arms look like a blacksmith's arms [...] He could play today, better than a lot of them out there today."
