I can't decide whether this makes me really, really want to listen to his show today or just avoid it forever.

Right...I don't want to reward him, but on the other hand....drama.

I would guess he gets suspended right away, not on air today

I have a hard time seeing that. Maybe I'm wrong.

I don't see him getting suspended either. He practically owns that station. I could see an out of character apology though.

It will be interesting to see if transition happens though. May not be a good idea to have Spiegel and Bernstein on the air together today.

Yeah...I can't decide if it's going to be an apology or some sort of cop out saying he was criticizing the way she dresses on air or something. The latter would be the real troll move...the former is the likely safe play.

Shouldn't the latter would be just as deserving of an apology as the crap he's already said?

[expletive], if he just went full dirtbag and tried to spin this as him "just" criticizing how she dressed...it would be glorious. Please be that stupid, you little turd.

He's not that dumb. No chance.

Noooooooope.

I don't really think he did all that much and that's what he was apologizing for to begin with.

All he really did was acknowledge Bernstein's comment in his response where he was just continuing to say she sucks at her job (which she absolutely does). He didn't even piggyback onto them in anyway, just referenced what he said.

I guess it took the spotlight of twitter rather than a huge listening audience to get anyone's attention, but Bernstein always goes on jags about the boobs belonging to Chicago area media members. Like, often enough, that he's definitely going to be shocked and indignant that this is getting the reaction it deserves.

Was really hoping Deadspin would notice. My hopes have been rewarded: http://deadspin.com/chicago-sports-radio-guys-take-to-twitter-to-discuss-re-1693807995

I'm no Spiegel fan, but I think that's a bit unfair to him at the end.

Did we read different tweets? He is wholly deserving of any crap he gets for this.

What? For saying "I'm too distracted by how bad she sucks at her job to notice them" in response to Bernstein?

I barely thought it warranted the apology.

Well yeah...it's a lot easier to retweet dumb [expletive] than to share a radio clip.

Him writing "seconded" in response to Bernstein writing "boobs"? Continuing the conversation and seemingly being perfectly fine with it in the first place?

Forgot about the seconded tweet. Hadn't seen that since this morning. That warranted the apology.

I was referring directly to this at the end of the deadspin thing

So wait, what was in that deleted tweet that Bernstein was responding to?

Has Spiegel mentioned anything about it today?

He started the show by apologizing.

Come on, David. Yeah, "I can't share in your appreciation of this person's huge boobs" is totally validated because he oafishly mentions he thinks she sucks at her job.

Already addressed, but I had forgotten about the subsequent tweets and only remembered Spiegel addressing it in the first response.
