bad news cubs.com is really plugging schierholtz for all-star because that is the sort of team we have in 2013

 

good news n/a

 

best news there are over 250 episodes of cheers available on streaming netflix. why would you waste your time watching the cubs lose when you could enjoy 6 episodes of quality television instead?

It's pretty much between Schierholtz, Wood, and Samardzjia for pity All-stars.

 

On the bright side, we'll end with a good laugh 10 years from now when we're a perennial 90 win team and look back on the days when Bryan LaHair and Nate Schierholtz were reluctantly pencilled in as our All Stars.

I got through about six episodes of Cheers on Netflix a few months ago. It was good, but it just didn't stick.

 

It's no "Corner Gas."

I really didn't think that the words to would be such common knowledge. After all, I don't think they were ever sung on the TV show. So then we're going back to a forty year old movie.

Allow me to inject a note of optimism in this Game/Cheers thread: Wainwright gets pummeled about once every 4 starts. He's due for a whuppin tonite. If JS holds the Cards to 4 runs or less, and the Cubs make no errors, Cards lose.

 

I only watched the Rebecca era Cheers to see her angst filled outbursts of "My sweet Baby!"

Wainwright has given up more than 3 ER once in 14 starts this year.
