Does anyone know who's set to pitch for Kane County on Saturday against QC? I have tickets for it and wasn't sure if the rotation would stay the same with the All-Star breaking coming up.

Yay Daytona back on the schedule

Not a whole lot to add other than I just won these Alcantara game worn, signed batting gloves through the Smokie's online auction to raise money for the Oklahoma Red Cross. \:D/

That is an incredibly neat signature that also looks nothing like "Arismendy Alcantara".

I see the two A's, but that's about it.

It looks vaguely like some kind of Victorian handsaw.

No idea, but the rotation rarely stays the same after an all-star break.

Rusin threw a CG shutout allowing 5 hits while striking out 8.

His #'s at AAA this year are a lot better than I thought they'd be.

He's been really solid this year. I think he ends up as the next Sean Marshall/James Russell type.

I wouldn't go that far.

By type if you mean LH relief pitcher, then yes. But not results. Since 2010 (Marshall's first full year as a relief pitcher) Marshall has a higher K/9 rate every year in MLB than Rusin does in AA/AAA. Marshall has put up fWAR's of 1.7, 2.6, 1.9 the last 3 years, Rusin isn't ever going to do that in MLB. Marshall's FIP and xFIP are also 1-2 full points lower at the MLB level than Rusin's are at the AAA/AA level over the last 3 years. Rusin is nothing more than minor league fodder.

haha, my thoughts exactly. Though, my signature is barely more legible (if indeed it is more legible). I just thought it was a cool piece with an awesome looking signature. And since the proceeds are going to RC, it was an easy decision.

What about Marshall's minor league numbers when he was a starter? Or was he injured too often to really rack up many innings?

Marshall's numbers have always been an order of magnitude better. Especially his K rates, which underscore the difference in stuff between them.

Rusin is doing a better job against LHP though, so maybe he's coming along with some adjustments that may make him a 2nd LHP in a MLB bullpen(Like they were hoping from Takahashi). He's been far too hittable throughout his career and still now to be considered more than that like Russell or Marshall though.

How about Marmol sent to Iowa and Rusin called up? WTF?

You do realize you can't just do that, right?

Can we just like delete his name off the roster and then hide his uniform or something?
