I know that Baez, Almora, Soler, Alcantara, et al are by no means big league ready, but can't they just consolidate them at one level and have them play their games at Wrigley and send the Cubs to Schaumburg or wherever where they can be blocked out?

Be interesting to see if Javy gets hit in the first inning tonight.

If he does I wouldn't have a problem with Soler taking a trip to the opposing teams dugout again with a bat in hand.

I would. The penalty would surely be a lot stiffer this time. Let the filler do the dirty work.

I don't know....after HR #2 I would have been pitching around him. After HR #3, same thing or perhaps a free pass. Point being - they chose to pitch to him so unless he did a bat flip or something else, it would be bush league to drill him IMO.

All of the relavant Smokies prospects with at least a hit. Szczur 2-4, Alcantara 1-4, Villanueva 1-4(2B) Torreyes 1-2 (didn't start)

Jokisch went 6.2 with 0/7 BB/K and 2/3 ER/R.

Zych went 1.1 w/ 0/2.

Is Zych still relavant? He's kind of been lost in the shuffle lately. And Jokisch is lookin more and more like he could be better than Coleman/Rusin/Raley. Not sure by how much though.

Candelario is 3-3 with 2 doubles so far tonight. He's really been heating up this month. If he can grow into some power, the Cubs could have something special there.

He's easily in the top 10 for me

Almora 1-3 with a walk. Must be something wrong with him.

That whole not taking walks thing seems to have thankfully been just some aberration.

In other news, what the [expletive] is on Almora's chin?
