Could this be Johnson's last start at KC? I hate the idea of him getting moved to Daytona at this point of the weather season, going to be tough for him to stay on a regular schedule of starting every 4th/5th day with the [expletive] rain outs/delays.

Obviously a move up to Daytona is necessary for his development, but it's going to suck that he is likely going to get yanked around by the weather.

Had no idea this was a thing. Wish I were home (and had the full sports package with all the different RSNs).

3 hits and a run through 4 for Johnson. Almora has a double in two plate appearances.

Apparently it was an infield double.

My thoughts exactly. Someone described it that way on PSD forum.

Yeah, I don't have the sports package but my mom and grandma do so they're DVRing for me. I'm glad it's a game with Pierce Johnson, not just the already interesting KC bats.

Lendy Castillo sighting....in low A ball.

Where he has a 7.34 ERA.

I like taking a chance on R5 guys but Castillo has been absolutely terrible from day 1 with the Cubs. Rondon hasn't been great but he's worlds better than Castillo.

is he?

Castillo at the MLB level last year: 6.03 xFIP

Rondon: 5.65

I know there's more to it than that, but it feels sometimes like Rondon's awfulness is a weird blind spot in Cubs fandom this year.

11 walks, 3HBP and 18 hits in 20IP. I have to admit, I didn't know Rondon's numbers were that bad. I'd still take him over Castillo though.
