I haven't added it up, but I think the Cubs might have passed Atlanta for the NL lead in ISO.

stop massaging your nerdy numbers to suggest that this is anything but a really bad team

Thank God the Cubs have started this earlier than last year's 19-10 surge in June/July, which ended when they traded half the team.

It's a glorious mess of a team.

Platoons are so awesome.

27 games in June, 14 are against teams with a worse RD than us.

Assuming no epic collapse today, we just need to outperform by three wins to go 17-10 and be .500 heading into July.

Last time the CUBS hit 3 or more HRs in 3 consecutive games..............

That could be 16 if we win by more than eight runs today (Arizona +22, Cubs +6 coming into today).

i prefer streaks... let's just streak our way to .500 and then go from there

If we go 10-17, I am blaming you.

All I asked from this team going in to the season was to keep me interested until the draft and then the deadline, and they've basically done that. Though that wasn't a high hurdle because it's easy to delude myself when it comes to the Cubs.

Hey, Keith the Cubs are up to 3rd in the NL in HRs now. I'm sure you know who's in 1st.

"It's gotta be the Cardinals."

No, Keith. It's not the team that's 3rd from last in HRs.

it's about time they give up on this platoon crap and play schierholtz everyday

Pretty sure our same friend was bitching about Ransom's side of the platoon, too.

Where is that guy to enjoy this glorious 7-0 lead?

I really, really like our starters. If we can just get a little lucky with the bullpen going forward, could we really push .500?

If some of the statistical indicators are right and we get some luck, we could blow past it.

(or we could just blow, you never know).
