Keith Law updated his top 25 prospects (and 5 more he considered). Soler jumped up from 42 to 21 since the preseason. Baez is nowhere to be seen

http://m.espn.go.com/mlb/story?storyId=9315120

Edit: Since its insider here is the blurb about Soler:

21. Jorge Soler, OF | Chicago Cubs (age 21)

Current level: High Class A (Daytona)

Preseason ranking: 42

The power is already showing up thanks to Soler's tremendous bat speed, and he's drawn more walks (18 in 173 PAs) than I would have guessed given how long he had gone without facing live pitching before last summer. He's been only fair in right field and his arm has looked average, both disappointments relative to what I saw from him last year.

If true, that's good news. He's been hitting well down in extended.

Hendricks went 6.2, gave up 6 hits, 2 runs, 2 earned, 2 walks, and K'd 6. Thought he may have been done after 6, line would have been 6 4 1 1 1 5, if he had been taken out.

As if on cue, Soler threw out a baserunner at third tonight.

When people express concern about Javy it's all about the walks and K's, correct? Because when I look at his slugging numbers - seven homers, 12 doubles, four triples - there seems to be a lot to like.

Sure, there's a lot to like.

But a .305 OBP and .778 OPS (going into tonight) doesn't exactly scream "elite prospect." The Ks are the biggest problem, of course.

His alarming k% and bb% are nothing to scoff at but, mostly, yes.

He also committed either his 24th or 26th error tonight and while using errors to judge defensive abilities (especially in the low-mid minors with a young guy) isn't usually smart that's a really large number.

I couldn't care less about the errors, his bat will play anywhere and he's a good enough athlete to play 3B or even a corner OF in the worst case scenario. Raise the walk rate and cut the K rate and he'll be fine.
