.@WojYahooNBA reports Bulls have started discussions on extension with Luol Deng. Deng's agent Herb Rudoy says that's not the case.

One of the few times I hope the local media is right when poo-pooing a national Bulls rumor/story.

The Bulls have to know there's no point extending Deng right now, don't they? His value isn't going to be any higher a year from now.

Deadspin is now reporting that the "victim" in the Pippen story from yesterday was drunk, spit on Pip, and called him the N-word while Scottie was holding his 4-year old daughter. Their source also said that they didn't have a scratch on him when Pippen left the scene.

Sounds unreliable

Luol Deng was spotted at a Chicagoland Starbucks wearing a #9 Bulls Jersey. "9" for the number of years on his extension.

So, does this kill the Kevin Love fantasy for Bulls fans?

The Cleveland Cavaliers offered the No. 1 overall pick, Tristan Thompson and Dion Waiters to the Minnesota Timberwolves for Kevin Love, according to a source.

The Wolves rejected the trade offer and hope to build around Love under Flip Saunders.

Maybe for this offseason, but I wasn't really expecting it until next offseason.

This offseason is off to a really terrible start. BE LESS TERRIBLE, RUMORS.

How does Lamarcus Aldridge or Thomas Robinson strike you?

Thomas Robinson to Cavs for No. 19 pick. Thomas Robinson to Bulls for No. 20. Word is both of those scenarios are on table for Rockets

Aldridge would be nice.

I just cant bear watching the same formula for the past 3 years knowing that we'll probably never beat Miami 4 games with it. I'd ideally like to see something change.

@ESPNSteinLine Follow-up trade rumble: Bulls intend to flip Thomas Robinson in subsequent (or connected) deal if they take him from Rockets for No. 20 pick

FWIW re: Aldridge, a Chad Ford rumor had the Cavs offering #1 and #19 for Aldridge and the Blazers basically hanging up the phone.

I think Miami's fate depends on how much further Wade diminishes next year. They may very well be beatable.

Hmmm. I wasn't a fan of the idea of getting Robinson but if it's part of a larger deal that could be interesting.

So what's up with Nicola Mirotic? Does he still have another year in Spain? What's the likelihood that he stays there instead of coming here? Does his future here potentially impact what the Bulls do this offseason? What kind of impact player can he be here?

Mirotic won't be here until at least next summer, and it sounds like 2015 is more likely from reports I've seen.
