BOTTOM OF THE FIRST INNING

 

DeJesus flied out to right field

Castro singled to left field

Rizzo doubled to left field, Castro to third

Soriano grounded to shortstop , safe at first on a throwing error, E6, Castro & Rizzo scored

Schierholtz lined out to center field

Valbuena struck out swinging

that Soriano GB should have been a base hit and an error

 

they did that to Castro a couple weeks ago, he ranged several steps to the right of 2B and bobbled the ball in the transition and they gave him an error; really irritating

So 2 runs, 4 line drives, and a 5th guy who torched two balls a few feet foul. Good first trip through the order.

don't see how it's a hit. It was a slowly hit ball that was picked up cleanly with plenty of time to throw him out and if the 1B was any good he was out by multiple steps.
