OMG this is [expletive] great

Major League Baseball and YouTube today announced a deeper partnership between both sides that will bring current-season highlights and archival footage to the video streaming site. Additionally, the new agreement allows baseball fans outside the US, Canada, South Korea, Taiwan and Japan to watch two live games each day during the regular season. Anyone that resides in those countries will need to stick to MLB.TV or cable to keep up with live action on the field, however.

Highlights of 2013 games will typically be available "a day or two" after they're played, according to a post at YouTube's Google+ page. "Tens of thousands of hours" of archived games dating back to 1952 will also be streamable, as will programming from Baseballs Best Classics and Best Moments. MLB Advanced Media first trialed the expanded content approach with a YouTube channel that was limited to viewers in Australia, Brazil, Japan, New Zealand and Russia. Now those offerings are being extended to users across the globe, though again, live video will only be available to those outside MLB's "core" video distribution territories.

Sounds like it will only be allowed to display content that the MLB allows though. Not like the NBA where anyone is allowed to post full games to YouTube. Still a step in the right direction though. I just hate how great moments in the 03 and 08 seasons are basically lost forever to me.

I had all of those 03 playoff games on DVR and I deleted them in disgust a few days after the NLCS. I really wish I hadn't.

I have almost no evidence left that Mark Prior happened.

I just found this on MLB.com's YouTube page...the full game 7 from '03. No Prior but we can relive Wood's HR and pretend it was a walkoff.

Yeah, I was watching too. I can't even describe the mixed emotions that video inspires.

It still pisses me off several times a week that that garbage organization has 2 World Series titles in the last 16 years.

Let's keep with the theme!

- They left out the best part of this one - Scully's "dowager queen" intro.

- Biggest [expletive] up until 2003.

Now, if only they would post the second game of the 1998 NLDS. I hate the Internet.

Miguel Cabrera looks like he's put on 100 pounds since then.

even though it ended up meaning nothing, that wood home run is still my favorite cubs moment ever.

Sammy's game one homer and pretty much all of game 3 were awesome too.

Yep.

Says a lot about the franchise that 2 of my favorite Cubs playoff memories (Wood's HR and the Sosa game tying HR) came in losses. I was 1 in 84 and don't really remember anything about the 89 playoffs so I guess those 2 moments go on a list with Gaetti's WC playoff HR (technically regular season but whatever), Wood's double in game 1 vs. ATL, Sosa's HR off the camera well, ARam's Grand Slam and absolutely nothing from 07 and 08.
