So, does Rask like to whine about his teams defense every time he gets beat?

"They got a lot of shots through, a lot of second opportunities," Rask said. "If you allow six goals as a goalie, you can't be satisfied, but as a team, it was not our best defensive game either."

Yeah that's unusual to hear. We need to run that guy Quick-style in Game 5.

Oops. NBC affiliate in Austin missed the game-winner while airing a promo for their local news: http://www.awfulannouncing.com/2013/june/nbc-austin-affiliate-misses-game-4-blackhawks-ot-winner.html

I have a couple of HS friends who live in Austin now. They both were quite pissed.

Wow.

For the record, I stepped out of the room for like 10 seconds and the game winner happened. I couldn't believe it, I was glued to the TV for the entire game and missed the game winner to toss a can in the recycle bin.

doh!

Do you not have a wife to fetch your beers for you?

My next door neighbor is a huge Boston fan, so it's been pretty fun watching this series. Well, the games the Hawks won, anyway. If the Hawks win the Cup, I'm taking sidewalk chalk and drawing the Blackhawks logo on his driveway while he's at work. We have sloped driveways where it would be very visible to EVERYONE. He keeps calling Rask a brick wall, which is rather entertaining to me. Especially when I told him it might be easier to name the Blackhawks that DIDN'T score on Rask last night. Haha.

Arguing with Boston fans is like banging your head against the wall. Apparently it's ok that Boston lost because Crawford let in some soft goals and Rask didn't. Or something.

I think it's funny that Crawford's glove side is apparently the biggest story coming out of this game. It's news that Crawford isn't impenetrable?

To me, the biggest story should be Boston's inability to snuff out Chicago's speed advantage, like they have before. I'm hoping it's because the Hawks figured something out -- and that this wasn't just an off night for the Bruins. Also, it was in Boston's building.

As for Crawford: I believe all 5 of Boston's goals were high glove-side shots, right? It's not news that Crawford can be beat, but I don't think anyone has consistently beat him in a single place like that. Don't want to see that anymore, that's for sure.

I picked a smart girl, and now I'm starting to think it was a mistake.

No a few were low glove. Pretty much his entire glove side was a mess.

And he's had that problem before, but it also seems like he's been able to correct it. I'm not worried about Crawford if the Hawks skate like they should.

And I don't think it would've mattered much which side the shot was on on the one that came off the glass.

And I don't think he ever saw the shot that tied it at 5. Looked like the defender diving to block the shot screened him until it was too late because of the trajectory of the shot and the fact that it stayed low so long. He just never reacted to that one at all until it was right on him.

Listening to Len talk hockey on The Score right now. If Pat Foley ever retires, can we get Len to pull double duty?

My problem was with the defensemen just allowing the bruins to do whatever they wanted on the boards. HES SPINNING THE BALL ON HIS FINGER JUST TAKE IT

Well he is a Red Wings fan, so that would be one strike against him.

.

I do remember him making a guest appearance in the booth during a regular season Hawks game a few years ago and Pat had Len do a few minutes of PBP...he was entertaining

Oh, didn't know the Red Wings bit. I take it all back.

He can be a bit irritating on twitter when Hawks/Wings are playing each other.

Game 1 OT Thriller won by Chicago

Game 2 OT Thriller won by Boston

Game 3 Dominating Boston win

Game 4 OT Thriller won by Chicago

Am I talking about this series or 2009 Bulls-Celtics?

Great win. For the first time this series though I don't feel like the Hawks are the better team.

This is just ridiculous. Hawks have had a positive Corsi in every game this series, and only once by less than double digits (game 1: +51, game 2: +13, game 3: +7, game 4: +14). The Hawks have clearly been the better team in this series, both by eye test (games 1, 2 and 4 all looked like the Hawks carried more of the play) and even more by the numbers, and now they have home ice in a best of 3. The Bruins are the best team the Hawks have played so it looks more even, but the Hawks are still the better team.

Very silly to read this given the facts completely contradict it. Maybe it's fan pessimism that makes people come to these wrong conclusions, but I don't really get it.

I don't even understand what raw meant by that. If you thought the Blackhawks were the better team prior to last night, how did last night change your opinion that they are not the better team. I think they are clearly the more talented team out there, with Boston's advantage being completely dependent on the ridiculous shot blocking.
