I'm not against celebrating a championship on Monday.

idiots on the Score were debating whether they wanted the hawks to win in Chicago or if they should finish it off in Boston this morning. Shades of me listening to ESPN 1000 after game 4 of the NLCS in 2003.

lol. i mean if the Hawks were guaranteed to win at home, sure i'd take it, but it's also pretty sweet celebrating on someone elses ice. #trollface

Boston board has changed from "Hawks are the luckiest team ever" to "Hawks are the luckiest team ever AND the refs were blatantly trying to help the Hawks."

I will say that the trip by Frolik before the EN goal was a bit interesting, but there was only like 15 secs left so chances are it wouldnt have mattered. I didn't see much else that was particularly bad.

Celebrating the Cup in Philly and Boston, 2 cities full of jackass fans, would almost be preferable to celebrating at the UC. Almost.

how about the head hunting on toews that put him out and never got called

Congratulations to the Hawks for playing an ENTIRELY penalty free game ......... amazing !

Yeah except for the 2 penalties called against us this game. Idiot Boston fans.

Oh, and NBC is apparently blatantly favoring the Hawks as well. What other stuff can we blame this game on except your teams play Bruins fans?

Was trying to figure out why Toews was out (had no volume on the game); figured it was the shot he took from Boychuk.

Hope he can go on Monday.

@Real_ESPNLeBrun: NHL Player Safety taking a good look at Boychuk hit on Toews. Not sure if anything will come of it or not yet

If Bergeron is out, I don't see the NHL having the balls to suspend Boychuk. Fine at worst.

Hawks win

Fire win

Sky win

Rush win

Stupid Sox win

Why even pretend even in the slightest like you care in any way about four of these things?

Agreed. I have a hard time with this one because Toews was falling. And the shoulder was hit first. However I think Boychuk saw his opportunity and knew exactly what he was doing.

Boychuk won't have a hearing. No surprise. Toews took several high hits and if he plays tomorrow it will continue.

really, this is a problem with the rules. a hit like this is technically legal because toews changes position and boychuk's initial point of contact isn't the head, but these are merely technicalities. there's a non-trivial difference between the initial and the primary points of contact, that latter of which was toews' ear. and yes, toews position changes, but so does boychuk's, by straightening up and putting him in better position to make a very dangerous hit. this is after chara makes contact with toews head twice on the same play. the league is doing a terrible job of policing away from intentional injury

tuukka rask, teammate of the year

It’s kind of sad that you had to lose a guy like that to wake the team up and start battling out there
