Now that its a do or die Game 7, I can refocus on Kings-Sharks series in terms of potential opponents. Basically, go Sharks

I will admit, Craw really responded after that softie....made some really nice saves. The goal at the end wasn't really his fault.

Kings/Hawks and Pens/Bruins would be a great final 4. Last 4 Cup winners.

Stupid Hossa.

no [expletive], could have cost us the game

2 goal lead on the PP, the puck wasn't important at that point.

Yeah both of the last two penalties I was perfectly happy just to waste two minutes. But Hossa and Sharp had other ideas.

Yeah. I can't remember if Crawford had a great save in the sequence, but late in the third when Datsuk had sort of a mini-breakaway and then there was a great chance at a rebound it sort of made up for it.

That was probably most intense I've felt during a game since the Cup year. Wednesday night's probably going to be worse.

Was confident before the game but that went away with the soft goal that Crow gave up in the 2nd. Thank god we started the 3rd very strong.

Counting down the minutes of a playoff hockey game while having the lead is probably the quickest way to kill a man.

It felt like Game 6 in 2003, especially after that penalty.

Yeah...it started to feel like Games 3 and 4 all over again after the Wings took the lead. Especially because afterwards the Wings had another couple of great scoring chances, and then a power play. Big credit to the team for withstanding the Detroit rush and keeping it at 2-1.

Coming back to win when they had all momentum and the crowd was in a frenzy was a big moment. It takes a very good team to come back from that.

I'm going to be extremely nervous the next couple of days.

that was not a bad penalty shot call. he had a clear breakaway, a clear path and had a step on the defender, who slashed his hands. that's a classic penalty shot call, the ref got it absolutely correct.

yeah, i think we see the real desperation of the wings and their fans in these gripes. nevermind toews wears a wings player as a backpack for much of his toi, let's crap the bed about a straightforward call. it just seems that it really is mind blowing to much of that fanbase that the hawks are truly the better team. hopefully we end this rivalry the right way on wed and go to california with an achin' in our hearts

Is there a good reason as to why today's was a penalty shot but the one late in Game 4 (I think) was only a power play rather than a penalty shot? Both prevented a clean shot on goal where the player with the puck was in on goal behind the defense.

I wonder what Babcock's message to his team was after the game?

"You’ve just got to flush it out," Henrik Zetterberg said. "It’s part of playoff hockey. It’s first to four. It doesn’t matter how you get there as long as you get there."

Said Niklas Kronwall: "We have to flush this and get ready and prepared for Wednesday."

And Howard on the message to the team: "Take a step back and just flush it."

I believe the one you are referring to there was no clear breakaway/path to the goalie. While in this case it was very clear.

i'm pretty confident that if the situations were reversed, i'd concede that it was the right call and that's saying something.
