So Loe pitches yesterday, a scoreless inning that includes a hit and a walk. He then gets picked again for middle relief in a close game. He gets tagged in that inning for a home run and one or two other well hit balls. He gets sent out for a second inning, which results in another home run. Meanwhile Bowden hasn't pitched since Monday, and Rondon has pitched once (Thursday) since last Saturday. Why, Dale?

Those situations scream out undisclosed injury that doesn't warrant a DL stint to me. But I don't get why teams are so hesitant to send pitchers on the DL even if they think it'll only be a week or so that they are unavailable.

 

 

I was thisclose to attending this game and quite happy I backed out at the last minute. I told myself I didn't want to give money to Loria, but really I was just enjoying poolside drinking too much.

 

 

Florida makes it very hard to find the Marlins on the television.
