Mully and Hanley said how awesome it is to be a Ricketts right now. But [expletive] it still sucks to be a Cub fan you dumb [expletive].

 

Nah, it's pretty awesome right now.

 

EDIT - Fully expect jersey to tell me that it's not awesome and i'm not excited because they haven't done anything yet.

 

It's been better than being a Bears fan.

It's been better than being a Bears fan.

 

Bulls and Blackhawks double-Finals run is going to be pretty epic this spring.

Well, aside from the fact that him saying the increased value of the franchise doesn't mean much when he's about to sell 20% of the team and profit from that increase directly.

Among qualified NL 1B, Gonzalez was:

 

5th in BA

6th in OBP

3rd in SLG

6th in OPS

2nd in hits

2nd in 2B

3rd in HR

6th in BB

 

Here are where Rizzo and Freeman (either one would be a better choice) ranked for comparison.

 

BA 4th/3rd

OBP 1st/2nd

SLG 1st/5th

OPS 1st/3rd

hits 5th/1st

2B 6th/1st

That never happened. I am trying to be a Bulls fan this year and to forget that I don't like basketball.

I dunno, I can't bring myself to care that Rizzo didn't win Silver Slugger, but thought it was really cool when Darwin Barney won the gold glove. Maybe I realized it was the last good thing that would ever happen to Darwin?
