Javy is 2-4, with a 2B and the HR. Soler is 1-4. Scott thru 5, 4H, 1UER, 0W, and 6K's. Facing McCullers Jr, who's looking very good. Amaya not in KC lineup, by the way.

10-1 GB/FB ratio for Scott.

@sahadevsharma: @CubsDen 87-89, located well. May have touched 90. Lotta FBs early, almost exclusively. Then started mixing in what looked like a slider

Keep in mind it was suggested that KC scoreboard radar readings might be a tad slow because of both starters FB reading yesterday.

I'm skeptical of that explanation. Guys just throw a bit slower in the first start in April.

Nice pitching from Scott, Peralta, Cabrera, and Rosscup.

Heh, and Searle too.

This is Searle's 5th season at Daytona. Must be pretty exceptional for a player to repeat at the same A-ball season five straight years.

He's still "only" 24, so it's still not impossible that he might pitch a major league inning someday. Seems like forever ago when his assignment to Daytona's rotation at age 19 was a big surprise and gave hope that he was a meaningful prospect.

I bet the Rays are practically salivating at the thought of trading for him.

Very nice pitching day, and good to see some high minors hitters with some strong days like Watkins and Villanueva. So glad the MiLB season is around to always have some level of good news after crappy MLB games like last night.

Scott, Peralta and Cabrera are among my favorite arms in the system. I tend to love the prospects that aren't necessarily the top guy but I think all 3 can be ML pitchers at some point. And all could move faster than their higher thought of counterparts.
