Rosario / Dunston Jr / Golden for me. I went with potential over proximity to the lower ceiling guys closer to the big leagues.

I'm going with Golden/C. Rod/Dunston. While all 3 could be out of organization by this time in 2014, I prefer their ceilings, or at least intrigue over guys who are far safer bets so be MLB controbuters of some degree. Considered subbing Concepcion for Dunston despite the rocky at best start to his career. Also intrigued by DSLer Daury Torrez.

Out of the organization by this time next year? Unless they're traded or have a career ending injury(which can be said for any player ever), what would possess the Cubs to release any of those guys?

I went Golden/Rosario/Dunston based purely on upside despite fairly marginal performances thus far.

Man, I'm sorry to say it, but you really don't know what you're talking about here.

 

Golden will be 21 all year long and will likely be at Kane County where he will be basically age appropriate. He's a 2nd round pick who has been injured a lot but flashed an IsoD of .090 and an SLG of .420 as a 19 year old in Boise. Carlos Rodriguez is a 17 year old diminutive lefty who was just signed a year ago and put up eye-popping numbers last season, albeit at a level where numbers don't mean a whole lot. And Dunston Jr. was just drafted in 2011 as an overslot 11th rounder with terrific athleticism. What reason would the Cubs possibly have to simply release these guys before February 2014?
