Eggplant, Avocado, and Beet are "fruits". I think peas are as well. Very weird.

Pretty sure a pea is a seed -- and the pod the fruit.

A beet is a root vegetable.

Avocado is definitely a fruit.

That's great, but are they fruits or vegetables?

since we didn't get Escobar this offseason, it hopefully doesn't matter if they're fruits or not.

edit: not only was raisin faster, but his was better. :hello:

He wasn't, but that also would've been a funny response.

Cabrera continues to disappoint me. I keep hoping that flash in 2012 at AAA was real.

Aren't they going to try and make him a starter again? Makes sense he's going back to AAA then.

Cabrera getting cut this early IS a disappointment. He's just not getting anything over the plate. Starting or relieving, you obviously have to be able to throw strikes.

Garza threw 25 pitches from 45 feet today and is scheduled to do the same tomorrow. Stewart and Vitters ran the bases today and Stewart is expected to be back in the lineup Thursday.

I think I need to start eating carrots, assuming those are still considered vegetables.

The whole damn thing is a root.

That's my thinking. After a rough go early on, they're likely scrapping the idea of him in the big league pen and going to get him stretched out as a starter in minor league camp ASAP. McNutt and Watkins are probably being sent so they can rack enough as much PT as possible.

when/if the Cubs win the World series Kyle will be typing up a post about how the next season is doomed and they won't be able to repeat before the first champagne cork is popped.

Worse yet, the cork will hit Starlin Castro in the eye, blinding him causing him to stumble into Anthony Rizzo who will in turn tear his ACL beyond repair trying to step out of the way, thus stepping on Javi Baez' achilles, severing it with his clete. Oh the horror.

The joke was about Kyle, which is a thing, not crazy Cubs bad luck superstitious crap, which is not a thing.
