Damn that was quick!

That's got to cut the heart out of a defense. One pass near center ice. Done.

Hammer!!! That was awesome. Suck it Dallas. Welcome to the Central. You're entering a world of pain.

Blackhawks doing the Jackets a solid here. Much appreciated

I want the Jackets in. Would be good for the team and city.

Still pissed about losing the All Star Game

For a team playing for their season, they didn't seem all that into it to me. They did come back I guess. I never felt like the Hawks wouldn't take the game.

SIAP; but unless my math is off, the 'Hawks are either one W or one Ducks' L from locking up the Western Conference's #1, right?

Hawks have played 42 games, @ 33-5-4 = 70 pts

Ducks have played 42 games, @ 27-10-5 = 59 pts

So that leaves both team with 6 games left in the reg. season. Even if ANA were to win each of its last 6, the most points they can end with would be [59 + 12 =] 71. So the Hawks just need to win one [or 2 OT losses] out of their last 6 to clinch - right?

Unless the BlueJackets can steal one in Anaheim on Wednesday night... GO CBJ!

i'd prefer we avoid st. louis or columbus in the first round. we beat columbus all 4 times, but they played the hawks pretty evenly in all 4, and that was before gaborik. with st. louis i'd be worried about expending too much energy in the first round, and judging by the last game, i'd be worried about guys getting hurt.

really neither team should be an issue, but it would be great to get somebody like dallas we could just walk all over

Last night the Hawks didn't even really care and they still won by 3 goals.

As a fan, making the playoffs is always something to root for but Columbus is probably better off not making it so they have one last shot at the draft lottery. They're young and getting better and starting next year will probably keep making the playoffs in the East.

If they make the playoffs as the 8 they will be out in the 1st round. In the long run, it's ok if they miss the 8th spot. That's why I want Phoenix in that spot, so we can enjoy absolutely crushing them.

Well, CBJ did win - but in OT. So the Hawks are right at a frog's hair from the clinch mark, but unfortunately the Ducks are still mathematically alive for the #1 seed (unless the Blackhawks have the necessary tiebreaker on them, then the Hawks are already locked in as the 2013 Western Conference #1 seed).

According to NHL.com, the Hawks have clinched the conference title. Sweet. =D>

Yep, ANA only has 5 games left and are down 10 points, so while they could tie the Hawks, it would then go to ROW, which the Hawks are 6 wins up (27-21).

No Hammer or Rozsival today either.

Hopefully this is just to rest these guys and nothing more. Since we haven't heard anyone recalled, they can't both be hurt and at least one of them is going to play.

Only a few minutes in but Hawks are overwhelming Nashville.

Not fair when Hawks already have Toews, Saad and Hossa on, and due to a delayed call Kane jumps on.
