How was that only Calgary's 6th game?

Funny that not only do we start with 10 road games in first 12, but we somehow get scheduled with the busiest schedule in the league to start the year.

Edit: the Flames somehow had 1 game in the 8 days between Jan 23 and Jan 31 and have played 5 of their 6 games at home.

SJ lost, albeit in a shootout.

I know a lot of people don't want to hear this, but the Hawks playing completely no-contact hockey is going to catch up with them at some point. A lot of people compare this team to Detroit of the last many years, but even they were never this soft.

They doubled up Calgary in hits. And got completely outplayed.

Hits is a terrible stat and do a lousy job of measuring how physical a team is. Also sometimes in an attempt to "hit" someone a player takes themselves out of being in good hockey position....Jordan Tootoo and Ben Eager being glaring examples
