I'm comforted by the fact that this doesn't tarnish the Blackhawks play on the ice since SHOOTSOUTS ARE NOT HOCKEY.

 

It's like if the Bulls played to a tie with another team and then lost on a free throw shooting contest. It doesn't make me feel worse about the Bulls actual basketball playing abilities.

Yeah shootouts are stupid. I'd also rather accept the tie again. In a sport like hockey, its not the end of the world to tie. Regardless of whether we win or lose, most of the time we play in a shootout, I feel like its a tie anyways.
