Week 15 Green Bay @ Lovie's Chokers (No GB Fans Allowed)

That is Hester's fault. But Cutler tried to force that throw, to a WR that you can't force the ball too. Some of that is on Cutler. His 3 INTs the last 2 games have led to 21 of the 35 points the D has allowed.

You know Cutler didn't have to throw that ball in the first place. But nothing is ever his fault around here.

He's just a guy at this point.

Yeah, it's not like it was painfully obvious that the defender read Hester like the moronic open book that he is or anything.

KYP. The QB should know that more than anyone.

How about Cutler double pumping flat footed in the pocket? That's not taught at any level of football.

Qbs have to be able to throw to a spot. All good qbs do.

You can't expect Hester to be able to know how to do that. Jay has to know that by now. Hester can only be thrown to when he's clearly open.

I fully believe that was Hester's fault.

same

Yeah, it's hard to believe Cutler would make that kind of throw. It's not a difficult pass.

It's hard to believe Cutler would make a dreadful decision/pass?

Have you followed his career? He exhibits dreadful footwork in the pocket and compounds it by thinking he can stick any throw.

Going down this path after a play where Hester clearly ran the wrong route is really pretty pointless.

The [expletive] you can't. At the very least you should be able to expect that your receiver is going to be in the vicinity of the ball and can fight for it, even if it's just to prevent a pick.

Excuse me while I ignore the QB analysis of a guy who thinks Mark Sanchez is good.

Yeah I mean I have been histrionic in this thread but theres basically no universe that the Bears win this game in

To go back to general manager decisions though: You can't force a team to play a player that CAN'T PLAY even when its tacitly acknowledge he's done as a Bears. Its bad football, its bad economics. Sunk cost, sunk cost, sunk cost.

Because reading Hester amounts to, "holy [expletive], what is that idiot doing? Even I know how this play is supposed to work."

I mean, that's OK but they were competing just fine. No reason to just blow up in 5 seconds.

I said his first three seasons were following a reasonably good developmental path, but ok.

[expletive] off.

At some point, you have to realize it's been 4 years and Hester hasn't done that ever. That was a forced throw. The underneath WR was open.

Cutler has flaws up the butt. That play ended in disaster because of Hester.

Fans are stupid. Yeah, go for the score with 28 seconds left and no kicker right after throwing an INT.

And with a new right tackle that was removed from the position earlier in the year.

He can't run an offense. His defenses collapse in the 2nd half of the season.

His choices for coordinator are extremely suspect.

His drafts are marginal.

And -- the idea of good discipline and good coaching is out the window.

What exactly does Lovie offer as a head coach now?

Or... you go into half, try to make some adjustments, show your new right tackle some looks at the defense, get your QB cooled down, and see if you can come back from a daunting 7 point deficit in more than 28 seconds.
