Define continually.

LOL.

He keeps adding a disclaimer that it's a reach while you say stupid [expletive] like Long's a third rounder.

I realize as a Chicago management lapdog you have trouble with these discussions so I will just pretend you make any sense at all.

The third round comment was a freaking intentionally hyperbolic comparison to the equivalent level of over draft and all the moronic commentary about how he was next in line and they had to take him or risk losing him in the second. If you can't understand the simple things there's no use

To be fair, it gets really hard to tell when you're being pretend stupid and being for real stupid when that accounts for pretty much 100% of your posts.

Thankfully there's no need for anybody to even worry about anything you have to say on any topic.

Man, you are pretty much running every play in the internet douchebag playbook, aren't you?

Still waiting on that answer.

That's fine. I actually changed it from a paraphrase of, "you guys wanted OL, you got that [expletive] now!"

Eh, I like Patterson. Go back and forth on him. He's the most talented WR in this class, probably, but he's also so far away from hitting his ceiling, or even being more than a gimmick WR for that matter. If I was drafting a WR, I'd rather pick him to a team with 2 good WRs. He can be a versatile #3, play inside, outside, slot, backfield maybe. But for the Vikings he's going to be the #2. He is working with a good one in Jennings, but he's nowhere near as polished as Julio Jones who he is getting compared to. Without a decent QB to throw to him, I can't see this going particularly well for the Vikings. Just think it's the wrong situation.

They think he's Harvin. Profile is similar.

I do think going to a team with more weapons would've helped. Cordarrelle seems like a good kid, though, so I think he'll work hard to improve.

Harvin and Patterson are pretty dissimilar.

Mostly it's just hilarious how all these [expletive] drafts are a replay of each other. Major meltdown guaranteed.

I just can't get how Emery would tie himself to a reach like that when he can see good value picks falling down to him. I usually hate CYA guys in business, but jesus. C your [expletive] A. Nobody's going to applaud you 3 years down the road for your willingness to go outside the box, if Long is released. They're going to double down on the calls for your head to roll, because it was a terrible value pick.

Patterson does many of the same things Harvin does, but he's considerably bigger and does a lot more well. If he can hit his ceiling he's far better than Harvin. I don't like the comp either.

Different body types, but yeah. Again, even though Harvin was a college RB, he was still more prepared to be an NFL WR than Patterson is.

I think perfect world, Patterson runs some deep routes, WR screens, reverses, quick slants, returns kicks, to get the ball in his hands, as he gives the defense another thing to worry about in addition to what is hopefully a good 1 and 2 WR, a good receiving TE and RB. Versatile 5th option to start, and hopefully develop into a #2 would be ideal for Patterson. Thrown into the fire as one of your team's 2-3 best receiving options by far.....not ideal for his development.

Mayock really likes that Dallas pick.

For the record, he also said Long is one of his favorite players in the draft.

There was a lot of talk about how Te'o would not fall very much due to the scandal. As it turns out, it cost him.

Holy [expletive]. They gave up a hell of a lot to get that 3rd pick but holy [expletive]. Floyd, Rhodes and Patterson? After Kalil and Harrison Smith (who was better than I expected even) last year?

Tomorrow night is going to suck but damn. That was beyond anyone's wildest dreams. I love that he got the Floyd and Rhodes picks in immediately. I have no idea what they're going to do at MLB but who cares.

More like everybody realized he's not that good.

Eh, I think he would have been 1st round.

Think the championship game and the combine cost him more.

I don't think it cost as much as it appears. I think it just accelerated what eventually would have happened anyway. He's a middle linebacker, which isn't a glamour position in the first place, and he's limited athletically, and he looked bad in his last, biggest college game. The hype was likely to wear off eventually. The real world board changes all the time between January and April.

Yeah I think the combine was what really hurt.
