Also, Boozer and Rip didn't make the trip to SA, Hinrich is doubtful, Rose and Taj are day to day and Nate missed the 4th quarter of the last game with a side injury. And Noah still has plantar fasciitis.

Assuming Nate will play and of course Noah will...

Robinson/Teague

Bellineli/Cook

Deng/Butler

Amundson/Radmanovic

Noah/Mohammed

Dead sexy

What's up with Boozer?

"Not presumed to be injury-related" says @KCJHoop. That can't be good.

@NickFriedell Bulls PR says Boozer had a personal matter to deal with and will be back tomorrow.

So no games missed, if that's right.

Well that's better then. My mind went straight to suspension.

Apparently KC Johnson said on the radio this morning that if he had to put money on it, he'd bet that Rose doesn't come back this season. He thinks that Rose wants an offseason of more work before coming back.

This is becoming truly bizarre. Unless I don't understand the ACL recovery process enough, but isn't it once the nee is healthy, is there further risk to him coming back this year? I get that if he were to come back that he likely won't be himself this season, but isn't there a benefit to getting game-acclimated and trusting your nee before the beginning of next season? I don't see how not playing a regular season basketball game for 18 months will make him or the team better off.

I'd love to source those alleged KC Johnson quotes because I don't believe he said that.

@vxmcclure23: Thibs said D-Rose won't play tonight

It was Mully and Hanley this morning. They've replayed the quote on a couple of scoreboard updates on The Score. I'll link the audio once it's posted.

Word from Bulls shoot is Derrick Rose worked out, officially upgraded to day-to-day. Doesn't sound like he's playing tonight but we'll see.

Just listened to the interview. It sounds like whomever quoted K.C. editorialized it a bit.

On Thibs saying "Day-to-Day"

"I don't think he's trying to upgrade the guy. I think he's more or less saying 'hey, he's practicing with us.'"

Also implied that people could be reading too much into it.

On whether he thinks Rose will be back this year:

"I originally predicted he'd be back after 10 months. But given his comments to USA Today and the beat writers, and now David Aldridge, I'm predicting that he's not going to play this season. I hope I'm wrong and the fans hope I'm wrong. It just seems like this is a guy who is preparing himself to have another offseason of work."

Eh, I was just doing my best from memory. Didn't meant to misrepresent what was said.

Didn't mean to call you out -- it's just often a game of Telephone with this sort of thing.

Aggrey Sam was on Mully and Hanley this morn and said essentially the same thing as KC, that he didn't think Rose was returning this year.

Rose is cleared to play but won't until he can "dunk confidently off his left foot" or something.

Also the team is confident hell play this year and are possibly aiming for a mid-March return.

The Bulls have told Rose that while they will support whatever decision he makes, they would prefer he return this season, the source said, "and get it under his belt, rather than wonder all summer if he could."

I don't think Bulls are pressuring Rose to play, but they think he should this year. I heard Rose tell Birdman org hasn't pressured at all.

The question is...which birdman? Baby or the white trash dude in Miami?
