Nate getting an MVP chant while Rose takes a year off hurts my head.

Wish we could have seen Rose and Nate on the court at the same time.

So Rose could get 8 touches per game?

So, is Jimmy the starting 2 or 3 next year?

Probably depends on what, if any, moves the Bulls make. He'll be starting somewhere though.

2 would be nice because of his size. I haven't been able to watch too many games this year (and am slightly basketball illiterate), but has he been able to handle himself at the 2?

Yes. They're not going to make any big free agent moves and he's cheap, a lock down defender at two positions and doesn't have to handle the scoring load with a healthy D Rose.

Feel like it's worth pointing out that Nate Robinson is an abomination of a basketball player. Horrible.

What a weird thing to say.

He's the basketball equivalent of sugar. It's tastes good and will give you an energy fix but it's not nutritionally valuable for health or a viable fuel for any meaningful amount of time. The Knicks, Celtics, Thunder, Warriors and soon the Bulls agree with me.

He's the physical manifestation of the Bulls punting a year and while that was the right thing to do, it's not something that inspires me as a fan.

He's a valuable guy to have on your team for instant offense. He's a guy you use on a sporadic basis when he's having a good game. He's hot, play him. He's not, he sits. They don't have that luxury with Rose out, so he plays a lot. Hence the live by the Nate, die by the Nate we've seen pretty routinely in this thread.

Haha. Knicks. Bulls still own them. Just like the 90's!

I don't want to hear about the Knicks being contenders. Melo will never win a ring.

Well, a lot of players won't win rings.

Also, I'm not sure an overtime loss in Chicago against what is still a good Bulls defense with someone named Chris Copeland starting elicits a "don't tell me the Knicks are contenders" post.

That was kind of a throw away game last night for both teams. No Chandler or Martin for the Knicks and no Taj or Noah for the Bulls. It was fun to watch a wide open game with no big men clogging the lane though.

To your larger point, I don't think the Knicks can win because they rely entirely too much on outside shooting and will have a tough time getting easy baskets against good defensive teams in the playoffs because of the lack of inside scoring and not much of a threat when it comes to fast break points.

I don't necessarily disagree; I just think it was an odd thing to say.

Just making a general statement reflecting my dislike of Melo and the Knicks. Had little to do with the game itself. Notice how I didn't say anything about how the Heat weren't winning a ring when the Bulls snapped their win streak.

So why was it so odd?

Agreed, there's way too many cold stretches to make up for his occasional good night and he removes any flow to their offense when he's out there. It's never a good thing when a career reserve is leading the team FGA per 48 minutes.

Because you said the Knicks weren't contenders. That just isn't true. They might not be favored to get past the Heat, but they are absolutely capable of it.

Nope.

Snayke left out the part where LeBron breaks his leg.
