Random question: Do the Bulls still have a draft pick coming their way from the Bobcats?

No they traded it for Kevin Love

I loved that we played hardball and ended up getting him without giving up Jimmy Butler.

Just so you know: I doubled up on my anti-hyperbole medication these past two days. I talked to a few hoops junkies whom I trust completely. I considered the consequences of falling into the whole "ESPN dude takes an in-the-moment sporting event and blows it out of proportion" trap that tends to happen in this 365/24/7 era of covering sports. I even gave myself an extra day to chew on the following point (and this column as a whole). And here's where I ultimately arrived: Wednesday night's game was the greatest NBA regular-season game ever played.

Repeat: Wednesday night's game was the greatest NBA regular-season game ever played.

Bulls were not doing anything but running the clock for the last few minutes. Dallas had to score pretty much on every possession and they did.

How is Butler a 83% FT shooter? I feel like I'm always seeing him miss big ones. Also that should have been a flagrant foul and that directly led to Dallas winning.

But at the end of the day, Dallas is desperate for wins and Dirk just didn't miss.

It's top 12 protected this year, top 10 next year, top 8 the following year, then unprotected.

So basically they'll have a great draft pick in 3 years.

unless they finally nail a lottery pick and get a superstar.

There were 3 Detroit area sports games of interest for me today and I went 3-0 yay.

18 straight over the Pistons. Remember when we were the little brothers of the rivalry.

It was good day for you, yeah :)

Bulls are too soft at home. Glad they always beat the Pistons. I'm expecting more than a 1 point eeker against a bad team like Detroit, on the homefront.

I finally found a YouTube clip of the guy who won a million bucks making a three-quarters court shot at a Bulls game in the early 90s.

Clip starts at 1:08:

I found an old Trib article about it which is how I got the guy's name to search on YouTube. MJ takes a shot at Krause and Toni Kukoc...lol, what a douche: http://articles.chicagotribune.com/1993-04-15/sports/9304170045_1_bulls-scottie-pippen-fan-hits

And where was Bulls General Manager Jerry Krause while all of this was going on? In Greece scouting the European championships.

"He missed a heck of a shot," said Jordan. "I don't think Toni Kukoc could have made that."

There was a ton of bad-blood (jealousy?) from MJ and Pip re: Kukoc's acquisition and hype, iirc.

Of greatest significance, far more significant than the 90-86 final that marked the Wizards' eighth straight home victory, the Bulls also lost Taj Gibson to the same MCL sprain in his left knee that previously sidelined him for 10 games.

Though team officials wouldn't estimate how long Gibson will be sidelined until an MRI exam is completed Wednesday, the versatile big man moved gingerly in the postgame locker room and said his knee "feels the same as when I hurt it the first time."

"That's what happens when you rush back to try to help your team win," said Gibson

how do you hit that shot and not immediately mimic jordan's post-ehlo reaction?

I eagerly anticipate Rose's return in 2015.

Is that a dig at Rose? Thibs? The FO? Fans?

I'm taking it as backing up Rose against everyone else, but maybe we're reading into it too much.
