Maybe if Rip wasn't so lazy sitting aroudn playing cards all day, he'd be a better player.

Chicago Bulls Derrick Rose made 18 of 25 from behind the arc and was working up a sweat when people tried filming him. (Source: Neil Hayes)

That said, I'm don't believe his return is imminent...nobody knows and if they tell you different, they'd better wear be wearing No. 1

People on RealGM are going nuts because Rose dunked 4-5 times, including dunks off each leg and landing on each, and because he's wearing his game knee braces/pads which he hasn't worn in his previous pre-game workouts.

EDIT - And something about Wennington having held the stat sheet up to the screen on a pregame show and the first name on it being Rose's.

Doug Collins: "I thought for sure (Rose) was going to play tonight. He got hurt against Philadelphia, come back against Philly, game on TNT.

Collins: ... I could just see him running out like the Adidas commercial tonight."

Maybe Derrick should play the final 1:10 tonight, but for now he's on the inactive list. Hinrich starting at PG.

Wow - what a game for Noah.

btw - how much do the Bulls miss Taj? Nazr gets THREE minutes in this game even though Boozer only plays 34. That means Noah has to go 45 and Deng 42.

Not entirely accurate. They didn't keep track of blocks until like 1973, so I'm sure Russell and Chamberlain did it a few times each. Still pretty amazing though.

A couple of those are surprising. Shaq wasnt a shot blocker and Bradley probably rarely scored 20 points. Don't remember him being much of a rebounder either despite being almost 8' tall.

Apparently David Aldridge said this last night regarding Rose:

He can go fine to his left now, the problem is when he goes to his right he's still feeling a little discomfort; and what that means is that obviously if he's guarding somebody and they drive to his left, getting there and beating them to the spot is still an issue. But he feels like he can get through a full practice now, he's OK with that; he's just not quite ready to play.

Is that due to scar tissue? The knee is clearly fully healed structurally if he's been cleared for full-on practice.

My guess is the scar tissue, yes.

I never have seriously injured my knee, however, about three years ago my hand was cut in- half between the index and middle fingers and - in spite of all the rehab I did - the scar tissue still causes me trouble. It was really bad during the first 6 months to a year. I can only imagine how tough it is to work through scar tissue when you have to make the quick moves he has to.

Lou could give the Bulls some more depth. He's an activity player who just shouldn't be relied on to be the primary rim protector or have any offense. He is pretty athletic for his size which helps a little bit. Of course, he might not end up playing any minutes for the team.

The thread on RealGM has an exclamation point in the thread title. This reminds me of the Rasaul Butler signing. He probably won't play more than 5-6 minutes a game.

ROSE IN A SUIT ON THE BENCH FOR THE FIRST TIME ALL SEASON!
Posted

Hinrich is hilarious. He cannot go more than 2 games without a new injury.

So no Rose, no Kirk, no Rip, no Taj. Am I missing anyone?
