Don't worry, guys, I'll try not to post too much misery porn in this thread. This game's going to be a destruction.

I wonder if the Bears will be the team that gets sCam benched?

For Derek Anderson? For Jimmy Clausen? Unlikely. Besides, the lines and the secondary are far bigger issues.

Far from it for me to complain about being a 5-1 team, but Cutler's shakiness this year is starting to worry me. He hasn't really put together a full 'good' game except for the opener, and he's look errant and wild all season. Whatever the extent of the injury today doesn't help.

He reminds me of a pitcher that's having control problems. Sometimes he's right on target, and other time he's off by a mile. And other than Marshall (who has had an immeasurably positive effect) the receivers aren't doing him favors. The TEs collectively have decided to drop at least a ball that lands in their chest a game, and Hester continues to be a dumpster fire.

But everything else is great and the defense appears to be one of, if not the, best in the league.

18-24 for 275 yards, 2 TD, 0 INT for a 140.1 QBR against the Cowboys isn't good?

He's had 2 great games (Indy and Dallas), 1 good game (Jax), 2 mediocre games (STL and Detroit) and 1 horrific game (GB). No it hasn't been his best year and yes his accuracy is slightly troubling (57.7% on the year), but I don't think he has played poorly enough to really worry about him. He was playing pretty well in the first half (despite again a low comp. %) and as Cutler admitted the 2nd half was just about making the short throws and limiting mistakes because his ribs limited his ability to throw bullets all over the field. Overall Cutler can have stretches of inconsistency but has also shown that he can turn it around quickly an salvage a bad game in the 2nd half. Also consider its a new offense and a poor offensive line and it appears fair to give him the benefit of doubt despite his numbers being lower than his career averages.

And the "mediocre" game last night was playing half the game with bruised ribs. He had a pretty good first quarter. They had some struggles in the 2nd quarter and then boom. Cutler still made some nice plays in the second half, but the Bears struggled in the red zone.

Far be it from me to point this out but you haven't been paying attention if that's how you think Jay has played.

First 3 games for Cutler: 3 TD's 6 Int's

Next 3 games for Cutler: 5 TD's 1 Int

Also, 4 of those picks were in the Packers game.

I wouldn't mind sitting Jay this game. Campbell should be able to beat the Panthers.

Given our upcoming schedule, it's a must that we beat both Carolina and Tennessee. Plus a rib injury is pretty easy to protect.

Still can't believe they didn't run Bush in three plays on the goal line

Jim Miller just said on the radio that he thinks at least one of those was Jay calling an audible to a slant. But he said he has no inside knowledge, just his thought.

I'm not so sure. I want to believe he could, but with our blocking and the way Tice calls plays?

We wouldn't know until we tried, that's the problem.

I don't see why Cutler can't just wear a vest next week.

This is as good a time as any for Cutler to be nursing an injury with this part of the schedule. Bears will run all over Carolina and Tennessee.

Cutler's on his radio show now. Said he knows he'll be ok and should be good to go by Thursday. Said he thought it was a clean hit, Suh just caught him right.

The objective rankings love the Bears.

So the Bears will be like #3 in the BCS this week? We control our own destiny because we play Houston and San Francisco, so I'm not complaining much.
